How FranPicks handles data.

Two long rows of small wooden archive drawers receding toward the back wall of a quiet, empty records room
An archive keeps what it is asked to keep and nothing else. The short version of this page: there are no accounts here, and the drawers are mostly empty. Tima Miroshnichenko via Pexels

FranPicks is a static site. There are no user accounts and no comments, and nothing here sells or shares your personal data. The only things we measure are described below. Your browser also stores your analytics choice locally; it is not sent anywhere.

There's almost nothing to keep. No accounts, no logins, no profiles, and no place to store data we don't collect in the first place. Photo via Pexels

Google Analytics (consent-based in the EU)

This site also uses Google Analytics 4 for a fuller picture of how it is read. Unlike the Cloudflare tool, it sets a cookie and a random identifier, so we treat it as consent-based:

  • In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland it stays off until you choose Accept on the banner. No cookie or identifier is set unless you opt in.
  • Everywhere else it is on by default, which local privacy laws allow for first-party analytics. You can turn it off below at any time.
  • Advertising and marketing signals are off everywhere. We run no ads and build no ad profiles.

Your analytics choice

Change your mind any time. This turns Google Analytics on or off across every page of this site and takes effect immediately.
